Dish Network is testing a wireless broadband network to help its wireless customers access and manage their network settings.
The network, called Dish Network Wireless Network, is part of Dish Network Networks’ new Smart Network Service, which will roll out nationwide starting in early April.
Dish Network also announced last month that it will roll-out the first of its Smart Network Services to all customers, with access to more than 1.5 million homes in the U.S. The service offers a range of features including advanced connectivity, automatic data transfer and smart home monitoring.
While it’s not yet clear whether the new service will offer a similar level of convenience for its wireless subscribers, Dish Network said in a statement that it is “working closely with the wireless industry” to develop new network technologies that will provide better user experience and faster data transfer.
The service is expected to arrive on Dish’s wireless networks by the end of April.
